Sweet Deals in Fort Worth

If you are in the market for a new car, take a few minutes to look for the sweet deals in Ft. Worth before you buy anything. There are incentives available from car dealers in Fort Worth that merit a good long look before deciding. Also, with the tough times that we are all going through in our economy, there are always going to be excellent deals to be found and negotiated. So, where are all of these sweet deals? They are everywhere, but you will just have to visit the Fort Worth car dealer to check them out.

Look for the rebates and deals that can be made on the larger vehicles, like trucks and SUV’s. This may be the place to find the best deal because the smaller cars are more in demand, therefore, the auto dealer in Ft. Worth may decide to give a bigger incentive for the larger vehicles. The discounts and bonuses that you will earn with this purchase could far outweigh the difference that you might spend in fuel. Another beneficial aspect of shopping for the sweet deals before you purchase, is that many new cars at Weatherford dealerships can be financed with zero percent interest rates and the lowest APR with their own financial institutions.

Accessorize to Maximize With Truck Accessories

When you are in the market for truck accessories make sure that you are looking for the ones that you want and that you get the right ones for your truck as well. Consider all of the options when you are looking to install a bed liner into the back of your truck. Think of all of the different models for mud flaps that you will want to put on and pick the ones that best fit you and your truck. Go with something tasteful and classy if that is who you are. Use a truck tool box that will fit not only your truck, but one that will hold all of your tools as well.

Make sure to know what you want before you just go and buy it, try to not get talked into buying something you do not want or need so you are needlessly spending money. Use your best judgment and realize that it is your truck and you get to d what you want with it. Choose the thing that fits you best as well as what will be the most functional for your needs in work and play. Make a choice and make your truck stand out.

To Sell Or Not To Sell

I have been toying with the idea of selling my pickup truck. It’s not that I don’t like it anymore; quite the contrary, I like it a whole lot. The problem is that it is getting kind of high on miles though. Plus, I really like the new Ford F150 with all of its cool new features. You know, like those step things that pop out of the sides and the tailgate. Why didn’t anyone think of those things before? I’m in and out of the back of my truck loading and unloading stuff all of the time. I can only imagine how convenient those things would be.

But the other side of the coin is that I have added all kinds of truck parts and accessories to my truck to make it just the way I want it to be. For example, I went a little crazy with the auto meter gauges. They look so cool though, and technically they even serve a purpose, sort of. They were kind of hard to install, but I was able to do it all myself which just means I am even prouder of it all. Or how about the pride that I take in the Mag Hytec differential cover I put on? Well, I actually had to have some help installing that one, but it really looks cool when you are standing behind the truck. I just don’t know that I’m ready to part with my current truck or not.

Going to the Florida Keys

I will never forget the first time I went to the Florida Keys.  I was newly married and had just found out that we were having a baby.  My parents and I had planned the trip to the Keys months before so I decided to keep the commitment even though it meant parting from my husband for a week when we really wanted to be together at that time.  We flew into Fort Lauderdale, picked up a Fort Lauderdale airport car rental and made that long drive to Key West

Although I had a lot of fun, I was very distracted with the news of having a baby and the longing to be with my husband.  Therefore, now that our son is a little older we are going back, and this time as a family.  We are going to fly into Orlando, pick up an Orlando airport car rental, and start our trip at Disney World.  Then we will make our way down to the Florida Keys and I will check out all of the things I missed the first time around.

It is really convenient that we can drop of the rental at a Fort Lauderdale car rental so we won’t have to back track.  It is a pretty full trip but we have worked hard for almost a decade in preparation and we are looking forward to it.

Brand Names Matter with Truck Parts

There are many different things that you are going to want to look at when you are purchasing new truck parts and accessories. You will want to consider the cost of the truck parts. You will want to think about how easy it is to install those parts and whether you are going to need either amateur or professional assistance for the installation. And you will want to think about the durability of the truck parts. But before you can take any of those important things into consideration and do some serious comparison shopping of truck parts and accessories, you really need to get to know brand names for truck parts.

There are some things that you can buy that brand names don’t matter so much. Groceries, for example, often aren’t any better if you buy the store brand or the generic brand or a fancy brand. Trucks parts and accessories are different, though. The brand names that stand out for truck parts represent quality and that’s something that you want when it comes to a truck. Start learning your truck part brand names (diablosport and bully dog are two good ones to start with) before you need to buy them so that you’re already prepared when that time comes.

Interviewing for an Automotive Sales Position

As you may know, I’ve been looking for a new job for the past few weeks. I really like sales, so every job I applied to was for a sales position. Well, tomorrow I’m going to be interviewing for an automotive sales position.
To be honest, I’m not an automotive expert. I know a decent amount about cars, but I certainly don’t have enough information to hit the sales floor today. Hopefully, they will recognize my past sales achievements, and they’ll know I can learn the information necessary to succeed at this position.
I stayed up pretty late last night reading through a bunch of automotive review websites. I think I learned enough to where I won’t make a complete fool of myself during the interview. In fact, I might be able to impress them with a few of the facts I picked up while studying these websites.
I plan on wearing my new black suit to the interview. First impressions are everything, and by wearing a nice suit, I think I’ll get off to a good start.
Since I’ve had several sales jobs in the past, I’m pretty sure I know the type of questions they’ll be asking in the interview. Hopefully, I can remain calm and make a good impression on the hiring manager.

Tips for Getting a Great Rental Car

Every rental car that is available is nice on some level. After all, these are new cars that are in kept in good condition. However, there are things that you can do to make sure that you get a really great rental car instead of one that is just nice.

Here are some tips for good car rental:

  • Know what you’re looking for. Good cars for some people are convertibles, for others they’re SUVs.
  • Book the car in advance. If you want a higher-end car, it’s best to book early.
  • Ask about the cars that are available. Don’t just assume that the car company has what you want - actually call to ask specifically what makes and models are available for rent.
  • Be willing to look around. For example, if you’re interested in Orlando car rental but can’t find the car you want to rent there then you can try to find it at a rental car Fort Lauderdale location and ask them to send that car to their rental car Orlando office for you to pick it up.

Basically, if you know what car you want and you can plan to get it in advance then you can probably get a good rental car.

Aftermarket Wheels for Your Car

While your car may or may not be perfect, a lot of people enjoy accessorizing — getting after-market parts, such as wheels, for their cars.  Wheels in particular are fun to buy — although custom rims such as staggered wheels are expensive, stock wheels tend to be so boring that many people don’t mind spending the money.  And it’s no lie — many cars do look A LOT better with aftermarket wheels on them!

There are lots of options out there for anyone looking for custom rims for their car.  There are quite a few popular manufacturers of top quality wheels.  For instance, TSW wheels are available in some great new styles this summer, and EXE wheels offer some great options too.  Spoke and mesh wheels are quite popular, as they allow you to show off a clean, brightly painted brake assembly — although I might avoid very open wheels if you don’t want to go through the trouble of keeping your brakes clean and brightly painted.  Directional wheels — wheels that are meant to go on one specific side of the car — used to be pretty popular too, although I haven’t been seeing as many of them in recent years.

If you want a way to improve your car’s appearance, a new set of aftermarket wheels is an easy way to do it.  Just be sure you get wheels that are appropriate for your car, and you’ll be good to go!

High Gas Mileage = Perfection in a Car

These days, the perfect car is frequently one that gets high gas mileage — and almost everyone will agree on that.  With gas over $4 a gallon in many areas, and steadily rising, many people are beginning to panic about what the rising gas prices mean for our way of life.

One thing is for sure — it’s caused us to value different things.  High gas mileage is now one of the best features a car can offer.  But what do you do if you don’t want to buy a new, more efficient car — if you need to make do with the one you have?

One of the biggest gas hogs is the pickup truck.  Luckily, there are things you can do to lower your fuel costs, such as:

  • Installing a tonneau cover. Tonneau covers mean better fuel economy because they reduce the amount of wind resistance (which slows you down and makes you burn more gas just to maintain the same speed).  The bed of a pickup truck creates a lot of drag, so covering it and making it smooth can really help your gas mileage.
  • Removing bug shields and ventshades. I know they look good, but they also create some drag.  I’ve heard of people improving their mileage by about 2 percent by removing just the ventshades.  Of course, this may not be enough of an improvement to make it worthwhile for you, but at least think about it!
  • Taking the sandbags out of your bed. Having extra weight to haul around makes your truck heavier and makes you burn more gas to get it going.  Extra weight such as what’s in your truck tool boxes may be necessary, but at least get rid of anything that isn’t!

If you can’t or don’t want to get rid of your pickup truck, there are things you can do to at least help out with the gas mileage a bit.  Eventually, though, you should plan on getting a different vehicle — unless you need the truck for work, of course, in which case you might want to consider working more locally!

The Perfect Car: Is There Such a Thing?

Is there such a thing as a perfect car?  Many car enthusiasts would say yes, yet they would all differ on what they thought that car was.  It might be a certain favorite make or model, or a car that requires lots of work (a project car), or a car that requires no work at all.

My perfect car used to be a Nissan Z-car without rust.  Rust is what killed my first baby, a 1981 Nissan 280ZX.  (Well, technically it was getting rearended by a hit-and-run driver that killed her, but it was all the rust that made her not worth fixing up again.)  Now my perfect car would be a Z-car that doesn’t break down or need work.  My second car, a 1983 280ZX, has been parked for the last year and a half, because I work from home and don’t need it often enough (or have enough time) to want to work on it and get it running.

Whatever your idea of the perfect car is, you’ll find plenty of information about cars here.  Dig in and enjoy!
